Endgame
Midnight Dungeoneer's Season 1 Half Closes on August 11
Four Midnight launch dungeons lose Mythic access at the Season 2 rollover. If their Tank, Healer, or Damage Dealer boxes are empty, Normal mode cannot repair them after maintenance.
This is not an achievement-removal warning. Midnight Dungeoneer will still be in the game after August 11.
What disappears at maintenance is the easy way into half of its required dungeons.
Open the achievement before the Season 1 servers go down. If Magisters' Terrace, Maisara Caverns, Nexus-Point Xenas, or Windrunner Spire has an empty Tank, Healer, or Damage Dealer box, this is the last announced week to fill it on Mythic difficulty. Season 2 rotates those four out of Heroic, Mythic 0, and Mythic+.
Normal mode will remain available. It does not count.
Audit these four dungeons
Midnight Dungeoneer asks for every one of Midnight's eight launch dungeons on Mythic or Mythic Keystone difficulty as all three group roles. That is 24 separate role-and-dungeon checks, shared across the Warband.
The four Season 1 dungeons leaving Mythic access are:
- Magisters' Terrace
- Maisara Caverns
- Nexus-Point Xenas
- Windrunner Spire
Season 1 Mythic+ stays open until realms enter maintenance during the week of August 11. A Mythic 0 completion also satisfies the criterion, which makes M0 the practical choice for most unfinished boxes. There is no extra value in turning a wardrobe achievement into a high-key test.
After maintenance, the active Mythic pool changes:
| Available now | Available after August 11 |
|---|---|
| Magisters' Terrace | Murder Row |
| Maisara Caverns | Den of Nalorakk |
| Nexus-Point Xenas | The Blinding Vale |
| Windrunner Spire | Voidscar Arena |
The new Altar of Fangs and the returning King's Rest, Ruby Life Pools, and Temple of Sethraliss also join Season 2. They are endgame dungeons, but they are not criteria in Midnight Dungeoneer and cannot replace a missing Season 1 box.
Blizzard opened all eight Midnight launch dungeons on Mythic 0 during the March pre-season. The August rollover is different: the published schedule activates the Season 2 pool. It does not announce another all-eight window.
Split the roles across your Warband
One character does not have to tank, heal, and deal damage through all eight dungeons.
The achievement is account-wide. A Protection Warrior can cover Tank, a Restoration Shaman can cover Healer, and a Mage can cover Damage Dealer. Use whatever combination makes the empty boxes least awkward.
That still leaves a real problem for players who do not normally tank or heal. Community reminders about the rotation quickly filled with some version of the same concern: the missing check is obvious, but volunteering for an unfamiliar role is not.
Keep the job small. List a Mythic 0 for the exact dungeon, say that it is an off-role achievement run, and bring current Season 1 gear. Do not promise a speed clear, and do not join a group expecting a polished route from a first-time tank. A guild or community group is even better because the group can rotate roles without treating each learner like a Group Finder surprise.
There are player reports that swapping specialization near the final boss can award role credit, along with reports that it does not work consistently. Do not build the week's plan around that shortcut. The safest approach is to finish the dungeon in the role the achievement needs, then inspect the box before leaving.
If credit does not appear, the current window leaves time to run another M0 or low key. If the achievement completes but the Finery Funds is not in the currency panel, check the character's mail before assuming it is lost.
Why one token can matter
The achievement awards one Finery Funds. Andra, the Thalassian Finery vendor in Silvermoon City's Bazaar, sells ten civilian-clothing ensembles for one token each.
Current source lists contain ten one-time Finery Funds, matching the ten ensembles. A collector who wants to clear Andra's entire inventory has no spare token to skip. Missing this meta does not erase the reward, but it leaves the complete wardrobe waiting on a future Mythic-access window for whichever dungeon boxes remain empty.
That is not a reason for everyone to rush. If only the crimson Courtier set interests you and you already have a token, stop. The reward pressure belongs to completionists and to players who want more ensembles than their other funds can buy.
The distinction matters. A permanent achievement can still create a time-sensitive access problem without becoming mandatory content.
Run only what the panel asks for
Do not start with a blind four-dungeon, three-role tour. Let the achievement panel write the route.
If Windrunner Spire as Healer is the only empty Season 1 box, run Windrunner Spire as a healer and finish. If all four Tank boxes are missing, make a four-dungeon M0 tour. If the Season 1 side is already complete, there is nothing to do before maintenance.
Then audit the other four launch dungeons after the rollover. Mythic 0 uses a weekly lockout from August 11 through August 17 and returns to a daily lockout when Season 2 begins on August 18, so there is no need to force the entire second half into the first afternoon.
Midnight Dungeoneer is staying. Its convenient Season 1 route is not. Check four dungeon names, fill only the empty boxes, and leave the rest of the urgency behind.
