Save Murder Row’s Concealed Pistol for Kystia’s 20-Second Burn
The fel pistol hidden before Kystia gives the group a 16-second, 20% damage-taken effect. Assign the shot before the key, or one of Murder Row’s strongest buttons will disappear into Felshield.
Murder Row hands the party a 16-second, 20% damage-taken effect before its first boss. That is a group cooldown wearing a novelty-item costume, and it needs an owner before the key begins.
Sleyin’s Concealed Pistol is one of the contraband purchases available for Faceted Crystalline Fel, the glowing shard found in the opening Snitch area. The shot travels through a narrow line in front of the player, applying physical damage and a bleed to enemies it hits. While that bleed is active, those enemies take 20% more damage.
Season 2 Mythic+ runners are consistently finding one crystal rather than the several available in Mythic 0. In a key, the purchase is a route choice for the whole group—not five personal toys waiting to be collected.
For most groups, its cleanest use is Kystia Manaheart’s Destabilized phase.
Shoot after Felshield drops
Kystia spends most of the fight behind Felshield, cutting incoming damage by 80%. Nibbles is the target until it reaches 20% health. That triggers Destabilized: a 20-second burn in which Kystia takes 115% increased damage while the party is hit by a pulse every second.
The pistol lasts for 16 of those seconds. Fire it early and the effect runs into Felshield. Wait until the burn is half over and the group loses the overlap it bought the item for. The clean call is also the reliable one: as soon as Destabilized begins and Kystia is in the pistol holder’s line, shoot.
There is no documented reason to turn the two vulnerability effects into homemade stacking math. The useful conclusion does not need it. The pistol adds another damage-taken amp during the boss’s only real damage window, when offensive cooldowns and the healer’s plan should already be aligned.
One player fires it; five players plan it
Pick the pistol holder before the timer starts. A ranged player usually has an easier time drawing a clean line, but reliability matters more than role. That player needs to know where the Extra Action button appears, which voice call releases it, and that Kystia—not Nibbles—is the intended target.
The line-shaped shot adds one positional check: face Kystia directly. The selected target is not enough if the character is aimed across the room. On trash, put the priority enemy in the center of the line and treat any extra hits as a bonus.
The rest of the group has work too. Damage players should avoid drifting major cooldowns into the final seconds of Nibbles. The healer needs resources for the Destabilized pulses; a harder burn only helps if the party survives it. “Destabilized—pistol now” is enough of a call when everybody has agreed what follows.
Leave room for a stubborn Snitch
The opening interaction is currently less dependable than the damage effect. Players during the first Season 2 week have repeatedly reported the first right-side Snitch refusing to become clickable for one or more party members.
Two workarounds are appearing consistently: visit that room after the other Snitches, and have every party member try once combat has fully dropped. Neither is an official fix, and the behavior may change quickly. The safe routing adjustment is simply to keep the crystal room visible and leave a few seconds for another player to interact. Do not have the tank lock the group into Kystia’s room while somebody is still trying to secure the purchase.
The pistol still has to win the route decision
Other contraband purchases compete for the same resource. The Felwyrm Egg’s haste can cover a dangerous pull or another boss, and a group that already deletes Kystia may save more time with a different effect.
Ask the route question before taking the shiny answer. Which section is actually costing time? Can the party align enough damage to exploit 16 seconds? Is Kystia already dying in one Destabilized?
A coordinated group trying to compress the first boss has an easy case for Concealed Pistol. A PUG with scattered cooldowns may get steadier value elsewhere. What should disappear is the accidental version of the decision: one player buys an unfamiliar button, forgets it exists, and carries Murder Row’s best damage amp past the pull it could have changed.
